She wowed the judges with her well-rounded accomplishments as a university scholar and graduate of BA English Studies from the University of the Philippines, all while being a member of the UP Pep Squad, for which Mona was able to join as a competing member of the award-winning Philippine Team at the 2009 Cheerleading Asia International Open Championships in Japan. Apart from the cash prize of US$ 3,000, Mona also represented the Philippines in the Top Girl Media Tour in Korea - showing off natural, Filipina beauty, THEFACESHOP way.

I attended the launching of the next collection of Freeway for their NACS (National Artist Collection Series) and this time they are commemorating our National Artist for Music, Levi Celerio.

Civic Duty Shoes: Conspire to Inspire

Who knows these lovely pairs? Civic Duty is a footwear company that provides trendy shoes and at the same time environment friendly. Their shoes are made from environmentally conscious glues and dyes, along with recycled packaging. 

The shoes are a bit similar to Keds, but I personally think they are more stylish with the crumpled look and all cool colors. And what makes this product more amazing is that this company has a Shoe for a Cause activity which when you purchase a pair of shoes, 100% of the profits will be donated to an American Charity. I was invited to the exclusive product launch in the Philippines of Civic Duty Shoes which showcased a live art and shoe exhibit of creative shoe artworks of different artists which happened last night.
