BURBERRY Body Tender Fragrance Launch
Last March 7, I was invited to grace the launch of Burberry’s new fragrance to the Burberry Body Collection.
This is the Burberry Body Tender, its scent combines the relaxed, playful attitude of the Burberry girl with the energy of the brand’s London hometown. Understated and feminine, the British scent is a light spirited expression of the iconic Burberry Body fragrance. Its sparkling scent brings together a fresh surge of lemon, dewy English rose and white jasmine against a warm, effortlessly feminine soft base.
It was a transparent and sparkling interpretation of the original Burberry Body.
Lots of pretty faces from the blogging community and media graced the event, enjoying the scent of Burberry Body Tender over cocktails.
Then the unveiling of Burberry Body Tender after the toast.
I find it very feminine with a touch of sophistication. So, why make Burberry Body Tender and the inspiration behind it? The Burberry Body Tender is inspired by the freshness of youth, energy, hope, excitement, natural beauty, radiance, the English morning dew, English roses.
And according to Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer, “Burberry Body was always about creating something that captures all the different characteristics of the Burberry girl. With Body Tender, we wanted to explore and bring out the softer, more playful sides of her – capturing this light femininity in the scent as well as the campaign. Cara’s natural beauty and vibrant energy lit up alongside London’s magnificent architecture.”
Yes, the face of Burberry Body Tender is Cara Delevingne.
An established, close member of the Burberry family, this is Cara’s first fragrance campaign, shot in her hometown. Cara featured in her first Burberry campaign in 2011 and has since been the face of Burberry Beauty, regularly appearing on the Burberry runway and in Burberry campaigns.
Let me show you a closer look of the new line of Burberry Body, the Burberry Body Tender Eau De Toilette (EDT) for Women.
Feminine presentation of the iconic Burberry Body glass bottle, designed by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey. The bottle contains a rose-coloured juice. The silver bottle cap has an embossed check and hot foil stamped silver branding. The outerpack has a rose-coloured folding board box with blind embossed check on top and embossed die stamp foiled silver branding.
The fragrance will be launched this March 2013 with prices, 85ml: P4,898, 60ml: P3,898, 35ml: P2,898.
It will be available in all Burberry Boutiques and selected major department stores: Rustans, SM, Robinsons and Landmark.
The launch was a success and I’m so glad to have my own Burberry Body Tender Bottle after since I fell in love with it the moment I smelled its scent. It’s very light and enchanting. Really tender. I think I just found a new scent that I’ll forever love.

Being the big Taylor Swift fan that I am, you don’t know how happy I am when I received an email from Luxasia (exclusive distributor of the perfume) asking me if they can send me Taylor Swift’s fragrance, Wonderstruck. And what made me more happy is the opportunity to share everything about this fragrance and some exciting news to you, my readers.
Wonderstruck is a captivating and sparkling surprise of vibrant fruits, kissed by a bouquet of soft petals and a touch of indulgence.
Alluring: The flawless beauty of freesia, apple blossom and raspberry spark a swirl of vibrancy and feminine allure.
Authentic: In the heart, a surprise of blissful vanilla is embellished by airy, sun-drenched honeysuckle and white hibiscus.

A perfectly charmed deep purple bottle holds this enchanting fragrance. The iridescent rainbow finish, never before used in the fragrance industry, gives the bottle a magical glow. “The beginning of something magical,” the advertising campaign for Taylor Swift’s debut fragrance, Wonderstruck, was shot at the Magnolia Plantation in New Orleans, Louisiana, where Taylor begins her story in a whimsical forest, surrounded by chandelier-adorned trees.
Taylor worked with KraftWorks NYC to develop the Wonderstruck creative concept, brought to life with the assistance of Kara Glynn Productions and set designer Thomas Thurnauer at the Magnet Agency. Capturing the exhilarating rush of something new and awe-inspiring, the ad campaign brings a wonderstruck moment to life. Is it just a dream or the beginning of something magical?
Taylor’s wardrobe and hair selections perfectly capture the whimsical essence of the campaign, making every element authentic to Wonderstruck brand.
Taylor and stylist Joseph Cassell selected a blush-hued gown, designed by Christian Siriano, reflecting the campaign’s fantastical nature.

1) Why did you want to create a fragrance?
I love how fragrance can shape a memory…the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts. I had so much fun working with Elizabeth Arden to combine my favorite scents and create my own unique fragrance. As an artist, I share personal life experiences through my music, and my fragrance will allow me to share these experiences with my fans in a completely different and new way!
2) Why did you name the fragrance Wonderstruck and what was your inspiration?
The name Wonderstruck comes from the song “Enchanted” on my Speak Now album.
I love the moment when you first meet someone and feel an instant connection. The initial rush is indescribable; it’s that magical feeling of promise and hope and intrigue and I wanted to capture that feeling. Wonderstruck is the awe-inspiring feeling that I want my fans to experience when they wear my fragrance.
3) You are known for writing songs about love; how does Wonderstruck tie into that theme?
Falling in love is the moment every girl dreams of and this fragrance represents that magical feeling when someone takes your breath away.
4) Do you have any specific memories tied to the notes in the fragrance?
White hibiscus is a note in the fragrance and one of my favorite flowers; it reminds me of tropical destinations and when I smell that note, it transports me to beautiful beaches.
5) What do you like most about the bottle and packaging?
o My favorite color is purple and I love things that sparkle so I made sure to incorporate those elements into the Wonderstruck bottle. The iridescent, rainbow finish gives the bottle a magical glow, it’s so cool!
o The antiqued gold charms on the bottle hold special meaning to me. The birdcage, dove and Moravian star are all decorative elements that represent my personal style.
o My fans and I love hidden messages. If you look closely at the intricate detail on the cap, you’ll see some of my favorite things like the number 13!
o I love the carton because it reminds me of the eclectic fabrics I collect on my travels.
Everything about this perfume is just so magical, and wait until you actually smell it. I feel like a princess! Now we can all share more from Taylor Swift rather than her amazing songs, but her fragrance as well. :)
