Nina Garcia is best known for being the judge of Project Runway since Season 1 and also the Creative Director of Marie Claire US. She definitely has a great eye for Fashion and Style.

And I have been a big fan of her, I have been watching her ever since the first season of Project Runway and as a fashion lover, it would be the biggest pleasure to meet her someday…

Yes, you heard it right! Sex and the City Star and one of the most stylish in Hollywood, Sarah Jessica Parker, will be visiting Manila for the opening of SM Aura.

For me? All I can say was, “OMG”.

I definitely needed to be there. SJP is one of those I really look up to in terms of Fashion, because she is never ever afraid of taking risks which always shows in her style and she is very confident in herself.

Read my Best Dressed here.

Not everyone dressed beautifully during this year’s MET Gala with the theme PUNK: Chaos to Couture. There are those who crossed the line way too much and those who didn’t even know there is one. You wouldn’t want to wear florals, pastel colors or anything that is the opposite of Punk so I don’t know why some did. Most of my least favorite looks are just outside the theme and some of them may have great outfits but it’s just not working.

Alicia Keys in Jason Wu

I don’t like everything about her dress, I don’t think the sequins and leather worked well together. I also thought that this dress is very unflattering for her but I love her hair and of course, her.

Kate Upton. Dress by Diane Von Furstenberg

I don’t think she got the memo. Her total look is just not for the event.  The dress, accessories and bag, they don’t even look well together. Plus her hair and makeup is not that good for me. Kate and her body is very beautiful but this dress is very unflattering for her.

Bee Shaffer

The dress is beautiful but maybe for another red carpet event, not this.

Renee Zellweger in Prada

This is definitely not one of her bests, I can’t even understand the dress. But she looks pretty with her hair.

Kirsten Stewart in Stella McCartney

She is one of those I look forward to seeing on the red carpet because she is not afraid of taking risks and she always makes sure to wear who she is but the jumpsuit is not working for her. Maybe it’s the styling because the outfit is pretty for me so I think it’s the overall look, it doesn’t seem to compliment each other.

Nora Zehetner in Marcesa

The look from the hair up to the shoes is just very disappointing. Everything seems to fall out of place.

Elle Fanning. Dress by Rodarte

I actually liked Dakota Fanning’s simple look but it’s not one of the bests but for Elle, it was not that good. I liked the uniqueness of the dress, she will definitely stand out but not in a good way. Maybe next time, she can take a thing or two from her sister.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Valentino

She is one of my fashion inspirations, I love how she looks classy in everything she wears and can pull it off easily but maybe not this time. I think the dress doesn’t suit her nor the event.

Mary Kate Olsen. Gown by Chanel Couture, Vintage Ballain Jacket and LV shoes

This is just too much and the whole outfit is contradicting. Maybe she only read the word chaos.

Ashley Olsen. Dress by Dior Couture

I saw how the Olsen twins grew in the industry, I think they have the most interesting style in terms of being unique and fashion forward. But I see that they can be too over the top at times it’s unpleasant to the eyes.

Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs

I liked how Miley Cyrus evolved and how she expresses her self freely now but I’ve seen her in better outfits. I like the hair but I think the dress just looks cheap.

Anna Wintour in Chanel

Sorry, Ana. I admire her before everyone else but I think of all people who will attend this event, she should be the first to know the right outfit to wear. Of course, she’s Anna Wintour she can wear anything she wants. But people are looking up to her and expecting so I think this is a complete letdown. I can’t even see Punk nor couture, all chaos. A floral chaos.

Nicki Minaj. Dress by Tommy Hilfiger

This is a surprise, definitely not a pleasant one. I’ve always known her for the most out of this world looks and I admire her for that because she is never afraid to show through her style who she is and this look is just very disapponting. If there is one person I thought could pull of something extraordinary for this year’s Punk theme it would definitely be her. This doesn’t work for her and the dress looks like a blue cloth wrapped around her and just tied in the middle.

Kim Kardashian in Givenchy

This is the worst look of the night for me. Kim Kardashian always know what to wear in terms of showing her greatest features but this doesn’t flatter her in any way. Not to mention that the dress is floral and not an inch of her look interprets the theme. She also looks so much bigger because the dress has one print that’s wrapped around her whole body up to the neck. Glad she showed some leg, oh her shoes have the same print as her gown? Just a total chaos.

Now, these are all my opinion. I know we all have our different style and techniques on how we express ourselves through fashion but you can’t help but allow people to speak their mind because you showed yourself to the world. There’s always the good and the bad, some people may like you others may not but what’s important is you like yourself. It’s also good to let others see what they think of you because maybe you can use that to improve on yourself.

It’s the Fashion’s “Night of Nights” again. The MET GALA (Met Ball) is one of the most-awaited annual gathering of the most stylish celebrities both in the fashion and entertainment industry. The Met Gala is a yearly gathering for the launch of Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual fashion exhibit and this year’s theme is “PUNK: Chaos to Couture”. This is when celebrities get to take risks and be fashion forward on expressing their style.

It has become a hobby of me to watch red carpet events and view photos and I thought of sharing to you what I think this time.

Let me share to you my best dressed for MET GALA 2013 with the theme Punk: Chaos to Couture. When I think of Punk, blacks and studs comes to my mind. Add the word couture into it, now that’s something interesting. If I were to dress or dress someone for this year’s Met Gala, these best dressed are definitely what it would look like.

Elizabeth Banks. Dress by Atelier Versace

I just love how the whole outfit fitted her perfectly well, The shoes, clutch, earrings and the gold dress plus her hair styling and color just complimented each other perfectly well.

Sienna Miller. Dress by Burberry

The hair and spiked jacket says it all. I don’t care that her long dress is white and plain, I don’t even see it. I want her cropped spiked jacket!

Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors

I love how subtle her look was and how it actually works. The sequined bandeau is a perfect match on the cutout dress and can you see how her spiked clutch added more punk to her look?

Nina Dobrev. Dress by Monique Lhuillier

I adore her outfit. This is something to wear to standout. I love that it’s simple and complicated at the same time.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Dress by Gucci

I like her dress, I think she made it look really good.

Jamie Campbell Bower and Lily Collins, both in Moshino

This is how I would dress a couple in Punk Chaos Couture. I love how their outfits matched.

Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney

I think she perfectly interpreted the theme well, I don’t know about you but I like her look. Definitely not what you will expect and that what makes it interesting. I love how her spiked belt gave the Punk on her outfit and the dress best described chaos in a couture way.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy

I never thought an all white outfit will make it on my list but this is just lovely. I love the construction and details on the dress with the zippers and all. And her makeup was done so well.

Christina Ricci in Vivienne Westwood

You might think I’ve gone as crazy as this outfit. No! I personally think that this is how far as you can go as the theme concerns. The plaid structured dress is so punk in a chaotic couture way (haha)! And this dress is by Vivienne Westwood, one of the designers well-known for her punk designs. So, how can Christina go wrong?

Beyonce Knowles in Givenchy

Beyonce is really good at working each outfit she wears really well and I think she got this one.

Blake Lively in Gucci

I really admire how Blake dresses, she is always very classy that she made this dress look very good.

Taylor Swift in J. Mendel

Taylor has become one of my fashion inspirations because of the way she dresses. She can pull off almost everything! The details on this dress are stunning and I love that her nails are black.

Anne Hathaway in Valentino

With this, I can say that Anne has redeemed herself in the red carpet from her not-so-flattering look on this year’s Oscar awards. I absolutely love her dress and I think it looks great on her plus the accessories. And I love her bleached hair, this is definitely a good look for her!

Katy Perry in Dolce & Gabbana

I know that this is not what someone would normally wear, I still love it and thinks that its one of the best because this is Katy Perry. She is one of the most fashion forward celebrities I know in terms of dressing up but she definitely knows the limit and I admire her for that. People might not like this as much as I do but she is surely rocking every single inch of it! She is so confident which makes her look really good, and the pose says it all!

Now, these are my favorites and best dressed for MET GALA 2013. I think they interpreted this year’s theme so well. Their outfit rocks and they are absolutely rocking their outfits!

How was your summer so far, lovelies? Have you already made the most out of it? Well, let me just share to you one of my Summer outfits to keep the vibe going.

Summer is definitely the most favorite season of the year in our country (minus the extreme heat, of course) and almost everyone is so excited to head on to the beach and just enjoy the sun.

Not to mention that this is also the season where you can wear the prettiest clothes, Spring/Summer collections of brands are always to watch out for. From pastel, florals, sheer, neons, and everything lovely!

Let me share to you my take on a summer-inspired outfit. It’s always so nice to wear a beautiful outfit on a very beautiful day!

My outfit screams happiness all over. I felt very light and carefree wearing this ensemble, mostly because the skirt and coverup is sheer. The extreme heat can be unbearable this summer so it’s really important to let your skin breathe but that doesn’t mean you’ll wear almost nothing. Never sacrifice your style, just choose the right fabric on the clothes you’ll wear so you’ll feel comfortable all throughout.

It’s also good to not only protect your skin but also your precious eyes so I added this pretty shades to complete my look.

I took these photos during my stay at Camayan Beach Resort in Subic and every inch of place on that resort is just picture-worthy. I was so glad to have spent and shared memories there this summer. You can read my review on the resort in case you missed it here. I definitely recommend it because you get more of the price you paid for! See their rates on my review.

What do you think of my accessories? Kept them very simple but still compliments my outfit.

One thing I love doing is mixing and matching patterns and colors, look at my floral on floral corset and kimono coverup. And say hello to my new favorite necklace from the Fashion Accessories Authority! I love wearing it because it can transform an outfit magically every time.

Thanks to my aunt for sending me these sandals from the US. I love how subtle the color is and its style gave more life to my outfit.

Fresh off the heels of a multi-year partnership announcement, Keds® is thrilled to introduce its first footwear collaboration with seven-time Grammy winning, multi-platinum singer-songwriter and style icon Taylor Swift, available this summer.

“The sneakers are really fun and easy to wear, and the designs reflect some of my favorite things,” said Swift.

The collection re-imagines the classic Keds® Champion sneaker in 12 fresh new ways.

Patterns are created from mini guitars, polka dots alternate with paw prints, large bunches of flowers float on a background of stripes, and sunglasses create a bold graphic statement. Additional styles include a nautical inspired anchor and stars, a super feminine heart pattern, and versatile polka dots over stripes.

The color palette is bright and bold in hues of red, yellow, navy, aqua and pink. Finishing touches feature solid trim in coordinating colors, and a special charm in one of two styles: a silver heart featuring Swift’s favorite number, 13, or a guitar pick in antiqued brass with Swift’s logo inscribed in the middle.

“Taylor’s style is effortless and always perfectly pulled together. This collection really reflects her fresh approach to fashion,” said Rick Blackshaw, president, Keds®.

The Keds x Taylor Swift Collection features fun patterns, which are some of Taylor’s favorite things such as mini guitars, polka dots alternate with paw prints, and large bunches of flowers float on a background of stripes, etc. in a bold color palette. Each pair comes with special charms featuring Taylor Swift logos.

Calling all aspiring designers! Have you ever dreamed of having your designs being sold in Ensembles stores nationwide?

Following the success of the first WEAR MY DESIGN Competition last year where 5 winning dresses comprised Ensembles’ Spring 2013 Collection, the innovative brand is ecstatic to announce the next installation of this much anticipated contest starting on May 1 to June 30, 2013!

If you have an eye for fashion and a creative mind, then this is definitely for you! All you have to do is submit a dress prototype of your design together with an application form. All submitted entries will be uploaded to Ensembles’ Facebook page for voting. Winning entries will be featured in the Spring Dresses 2014 Collection. Five lucky ladies have already gotten their dreams come true with the last year’s contest. The dresses sold very well with customers having their own faves. Who knows, maybe it’s your time to shine!

There will be 8 grand winners. Each winner will receive cash and gift certificates from Ensembles, plus Special Gift packs from our wonderful partners VMV Hypoallergenics and Piandre Salon. Each winner shall also be given one produced dress of his/her design (in his/her choice of color and size.)

The winning pieces will be reproduced by Ensembles for the Wear My Design 2014 Spring Dresses Collection and the name of the grand winners will be featured on the Ensembles Wear My Design hangtag.
