I, along with some of my fellow bloggers, had a store visit at one of Ray-Ban’s trunk show in SM Megamall days ago to see what the leading eyewear have in store for us this summer and more!

Your favorite sunnies now have a new and lovelier home! They are housed in cubes for easy viewing, this cube concept is the new look of Ray-Ban at stores.

I actually like this better, it’s very neat and I can check out the pairs I like easily. Check out what their trunk shows at malls look like:

What do you think of the new look? It’s like a museum full of great sunnies from Ray-Ban, from every color, style, shape and size.

During our visit, we also managed to see Ray-Ban’s collection for Summer and oh-my I’m in love! We tried some and had our own favorites, I really like this pastel pink aviators.

BURBERRY Body Tender Fragrance Launch

Last March 7, I was invited to grace the launch of Burberry’s new fragrance to the Burberry Body Collection.

This is the Burberry Body Tender, its scent combines the relaxed, playful attitude of the Burberry girl with the energy of the brand’s London hometown. Understated and feminine, the British scent is a light spirited expression of the iconic Burberry Body fragrance. Its sparkling scent brings together a fresh surge of lemon, dewy English rose and white jasmine against a warm, effortlessly feminine soft base.

It was a transparent and sparkling interpretation of the original Burberry Body.

The launch was a success and I’m so glad to have my own Burberry Body Tender Bottle after since I fell in love with it the moment I smelled its scent. It’s very light and enchanting. Really tender. I think I just found a new scent that I’ll forever love.

FILA Polo Cup 2013 Goes Brazilian

I was invited to attend the Fila Polo Cup 2013 which was held last February 10 at The Manila Polo Club at Forbes Park. I’m so glad to have witnessed this event because not only did I get to watch an exciting sport but also enjoy the great theme this year which is Brazilian Carnival.

Love the setting of the Manila Polo Club, with all the colors, masks and everything to bring to life their Mardi gras theme.

The entertainment was prepared to bring the concept of full authentic Mardi Gras Festival. I attended Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Play Event to see what one of the most renowned global beauty brands’ new surprises for makeup lovers are.

The event was held at Rockwell tent and it was graced by a multitude of personalities to celebrate the beauty and grace of women.

The Pure Color Play event featured Estee Lauder’s latest make up line, Pure Color Lipstick, Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette, Vivid Shine Collection.

No Strings Attached Dating Game

Last February 16, just a few days after Valentine’s day, Cardam’s Shoes together with Unisilver Time held an amazing dating game event entitled Singles: No Strings Attached.

Louise delos Reyes Bloggers Event

It’s not every day that you get to know more personally a celebrity over a relaxing day at the spa with your fellow bloggers, so the moment I got the invite I immediately said Yes.

The celebrity I’m talking about? You might know her from Tween Hearts and most especially her lead roles in Alakdana and One True Love, among others.

Yes, she’s the young actress Louise delos Reyes.

The event was held at Nail Spa, SM North The Block. As normal celebrities, I expected her to arrive late but she was on time and actually arrived earlier than other bloggers. And that was just one of the many great characteristics I noticed from spending the afternoon with her.

Let me tell you some information about Louise delos Reyes first before sharing with you what amazing new things we discovered about her.

After earning an acting nomination a few years ago for her work in an indie film, 19-year old Louise delos Reyes fast-moved on to even greater heights, conquering mainstream audiences with her tremendous success on national TV. Everything was capped by the watershed triumph of the TV series “One True Love” where she and screen partner Alden Richards blossomed into the current generation’s latest well-loved romantic duo.

Louise as “One True Love’s Elize Samonte provided the turning point to her career as it transformed her from a young face to a cute adult whose fan base instantly doubled. Big thanks to her leading man Alden for serving as that other half to make the picture whole.

This groundbreaking Louise-Alden team-up may have to pay its homage to their work in “My Beloved” where she as Grace Lucban showcased once again the good vibes coming through when the two of them are together on screen. The chemistry certainly reached its harvest period on “One True Love” which even GMA Network, by virtue of its success and public demand, decided to re-run in late October last year.

Louise is also best known for playing Adana in “Alakdana.” She also earned a Best New Movie Actress nomination from the PMPC for her acting in Peque Gallaga’s “Agaton and Mindy.” Later she starred in “Pilyang Kerubin” and became one of the “Tween Hearts” on TV and on the big screen.

She appeared in a number of “Spooky Nights” episodes, as well as some for “Maynila.” All the while her chemistry with Alden whom she has been working in tandem with for quite a number of times is evolving into a mighty force to be soon unleashed by “One True Love.”

Louise, her acting proven, has definitely the looks to boot. Prior to being seen on GMA, she won in beauty contests like the Ms. Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite in 2010. Three years earlier she bagged crowns as participant in Ms. Teen Philippines International-Luzon, Ms. Jag Teen, and Ms. Teen Super Ferry.

With all those in her bag, who would’ve thought she has a lot more to offer.

Me, together with other bloggers, really enjoyed her company over Spa and everything she shared about her. Let me tell you some of those that you might not yet know about her.

She is currently studying at Lyceum of the Philippines Cavite and will be graduating in April with a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Services. She chose this course because she already wants to have a degree and may already work if ever she won’t be pursuing Law.

She also has a big heart for the Arts which started with sketching when she was a little girl, she competes in her high school for various arts competitions and is also good at declamation.

On celebrity crushes, she told us she likes Gerald Anderson because she finds him very cute (“kasi ang cute cute niya…”) but when she already saw him she no longer had a crush on him. She says cheerfully that she’s like that when it comes to her crushes and she doesn’t know why. But one guy she had a crush on that never faded even though she already saw him is Chris Tiu. “Siya yung crush ko na kahit ilang beses ko makita crush ko pa rin.” She also admires Chad Michael Murray and Zayn Malik of One Direction.

I also noticed that her outfit is well put together so I asked her if she has a stylist, she said doesn’t have and her mom is the one who serves as her stylist. She always consults her whenever they shop especially on what to buy. Speaking of shopping, Louise is not a big spender. She prefers shopping at Department Stores and Landmark, her most expensive clothes she says are from Forever21 because she thinks that she can buy the same expensive clothes from big brands on cheaper prices on department stores. A trait of her which I love!

And when asked where she buys her accessories, she told us she goes to Divisoria for them since they are very cheap there. She just wears disguises every time. No wonder she saved a lot and had already managed to buy a car for herself.

Her style is also constantly changing, she can wear a girly outfit today and a rocker style tomorrow. It all depends on how she feels and what she wants because she told us that if there’s a word that would describe her it would be bipolar or random. Like in her choice of music, she can listen to Nicki Minaj when she feels happy and Taylor Swift the next when she wants to be a man-hater.

Another thing you’ll notice with her, is her healthy and fair skin. When asked if she has beauty secrets or the like, she just told us that she has nothing special and she just uses baby products on her skin. She also laughingly told us that she doesn’t know if she has a healthy living because she loves fast food especially Mcdonald’s.

She also is good at sports and part of her school’s varsity team when she was in high school. She has three dogs at home, a Shih Tzu, Chow Chow and Japanese Ppitz that she sometimes brings to set with her. Louise also has a lot of friends that are out of show business since she believes that it’s very hard to find real friends in the industry but she is very hands on with her fans and fan clubs.

When asked who she wants to be paired next in her future projects, she don’t actually have a particular choice. She told us she can handle anyone. And on dream roles, she wants to be challenged and play roles that will make her think how she would portray it like a character with a physical illness, psychotic or mentally-impaired. She likes to be challenged! Her favorite actresses are Maricel Soriano, Jean Garcia and Agot Isidro.

With all her achievements, she still has a lot of dreams and the most apparent of those is that she wants to dwell on businesses and would like to open her own milk tea shop soon.

We really enjoyed talking to her the whole afternoon, she is very game and if there’s one thing I would describe her, it’s down-to-earth. She always has a smile on her face and makes conversations more delightful. It was such a pleasure to meet and get to know her. We all felt like we’re just her friends hanging out and enjoying the day at the Spa getting our nails done while exchanging stories and laughs.

With her undoubtedly great talent and amazing personality, Louise delos Reyes is definitely one to watch out for!

Araneta Dress Me Up 2: Dairy Queen’s Black Forest Launch

“A Fashion Event for the Ice Cream that is always in Style.”

It’s not everyday that you get a chance to style models for a fashion show so when I received this amazing email from Kath of Araneta Center, I immediately said ‘Yes’ without second thoughts. I have to tell you that this has been one of the best events I attended so far because it’s just not your ordinary event.

I was so glad to have spent this day with my awesome blogger friends, the call time was early and it was a tiring day but everything was definitely worth it.

Let me tell you more about this event, this was actually the second installment of Araneta Center’s Dress Me Up competition. I remember supporting some of my blogger loves the first time and now, I’m so glad to be a part of it! For this season’s Dress Me Up, bloggers are paired and we will be styling our very own model (Bb. Pilipinas ladies and male models from Next) with clothes from various participating brands from Araneta Center with the theme black forest. This is because this event was held in partnership with Dairy Queen for the official launch of their newest flavor for the holidays, Black Forest.

Before the launch, we have the day to pull out clothes from the brands and do the photo shoots. Check out our preparation:

Then, the event started. Our models will be walking the runway wearing clothes styled by the bloggers and we will also be walking with them for the finale and explain why we chose the outfit.

Behind the Lesley Mobo S/S 2013 Fashion Show

London-based Filipino designer Lesley Mobo presented his collection in a gala fashion show held at SM Mall of Asia Arena last October 29, 2012 as the finale show for the Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013.

The venue was huge and unlike any other fashion shows before, the setting was a dramatic candle-lit dinner by Margarita Forés which the invited guests enjoyed before the show started. It would really be amazing to witness a show like this but to be a part of it is beyond words.

I’ve always been inspired by Filipino fashion designers conquering the international fashion scene and Lesley Mobo is one of them. I was so grateful to Sir Noel Manapat and Nio Manzano for asking me to help assist on the show. This was my third show being a stylist assistant for Team Manapat and they were the best experiences I had.

It was such a fulfilling feeling having to be a part of a show like this which received tons of applause to well-known figures from different industries in the Philippines. This would definitely be one of the highlights of my year.

The New Glorietta Vibe

To celebrate the launch of the New Glorietta, we are staging the world’s biggest fashion show on November 29: The New Glorietta Vibe as powered by AVA and co-presented by Globe Tattoo. With 2,500 models, the New Glorietta Vibe is attempting to break the Guinness World Record of the Most People Modeling On A Catwalk

And I am one of the fashion bloggers chosen to walk the runway on this event, together with 10 of my readers! A fashion show of this scale has never been done before in the Philippines, and every model will be a part of fashion history (the current World Record is held by Istanbul, Turkey for 1967 models).  Everyone will be representing the Philippines as we go for a new record and the event will be on TV and livestream. Last November 8, Colgate held a party for their White’s Hot Campaign which also showcased the blogger finalists and their works for the White’s Hot Fashion Fashion Face-Off and of course White’s Hot ambassador, Solenn Heusaff was also there to complete the event.

The Magic behind BENCH x Furne Onè

Bench creates a stellar collaboration with one of Dubai’s most prestigious designers, Furne Onè. The designer has truly come a long way from being rewarded in Mega Young Designers Competition, an apprenticeship with Josie Natori, gaining the first prize at the Japan’s Women’s Wear Awards, a finalist in Manila’s Fashion Designer Awards three years later, a store in Dubai with a roster of elite clientele, guesting in Germany’s Next Top Model, and this year, as Bench’s designer perfume “concoctionist.”

Three scents are going to be released this season under this collaboration: Unholy Eau de Toilette, and an oxymoron of scents such as Beautiful Boy Eau de Toilette, and Handsome Girl Eau de Toilette. The first fragrance, Unholy, is bottled in a red, glass flask. A unisex scent, it has a top note of mandarin, a middle aroma of rose, and musk as its base note. Beautiful Boy, a fragrance for men, is a concoction of grapefruit, neroli, bergamot, cardamon, peppery, rosewood, iris and musk. And lastly Handsome Girl has a floral and fruity cocktail blend of apple, melon, lemon, orange, frangipani, neroli, cedarwood, amber and musk.

The face of Furne Onè’s scent for Bench is none other than Raina Hein of the 14th cycle of America’s Next Top Model.

She was chosen as one of the 13 girls to compete in New York City for show and became known for her positive personality and unique look. The campaign is unique, beautiful, haunting and mysterious, and is sure to create a stir—just like the brand and the designer themselves.

The photo shoot was done in Reno, Nevada and was shot by renowned photographer Franz Szony known as a “photographic painter,” wherein he builds his “paintings” by shooting individual elements, scenes and objects then complied into a finalized image concept—which takes a devotion of time and seeing details rarely seen in the photograph aesthetic.

The launch for this most awaited collaboration between Bench and Furne Onè was held last November 8 at the Peninsula Manila which showcased 42 pieces of Furne Onè’s new creation which has never seen before and shoes provided by local designer Nereku.

And as a big fan of Furne One and Bench, I didn’t miss the chance to witness this amazing event and I can’t wait to share to you some photos soon on my blog!

Have Fun with Your Make-Up with THEFACESHOP Lovely Me:Ex

Who told you make-up can’t be a whole lot of fun? Check out the Lovely Me:Ex Collection of THEFACESHOP and you’ll know how you can enjoy and have fun with your make-up!

THEFACESHOP showed us exactly that from their latest bloggers’ event held at TGIF, Glorietta. Whenever I get invited by TFS on their events, I get extremely excited because I know for one it would be so much fun and also, I’ll learn a lot of things.

And this event was unlike their former ones because the bloggers will not be the one getting a makeover using TFS’ products but instead we were the makeup artists. It was a workshop where we were able to use and try THEFACESHOP’s Lovely Me:Ex Collection on our models, who were TheFaceShop Top Girl 2012 Finalists. The makeup and hairstyle will be depending on what we like, the only thing required is to have fun with the colors.

For her makeup, I decided to play with the different colors of eye shadows of Lovely Me:Ex and apply it like a palette looking like a rainbow.
