Yes, the most talked about Japanese restaurant for their delicious Katsu had recently opened their second branch at Robinson Magnolia. I already blogged my first experience on their Megamall branch before here.

And I was so fortunate to have received an invite for Yabu’s Pre-opening Party to celebrate it’s grand opening last August 21 and I couldn’t say no to their mouth-watering Katsu. Yumm! Just talking about it makes me crave more.

Here are some photos during the celebration, the restaurant was so jam-packed with Yabu-lovers!

The menu was served. The hardest part dining in Yabu is choosing what to eat when you want everything! Yes, it’s that delicious. Glad there’s always a next time :)

Oh, there is really not enough superlative words to describe how delicious Yabu’s dishes are so you have to taste it for yourself especially now that there are already two branches and more coming soon! I hope to bump in you there sometime and maybe we can enjoy the food together.

I received a lunch invite from Yabu: The House of Katsu way back the first week of June and everyday I have been wishing that I have the time to finally try out their most talked about Katsu! And finally I was able to visit yesterday with my boyfriend after a photo shoot I had :)

The very first thing you’ll notice is their very accommodating staff, willing to help you with your needs, especially for first timers like us.

Maybe you’ve noticed if you are reading my blog that me and my boyfriend are really big foodies, we love trying out new restaurants every now and then. You can check some of our food and restaurant reviews here. And one thing we consider on choosing where to dine is the ambiance, it’s really important that the place is really inviting and will make you enjoy your food. Yabu’s design and interiors give just that great feeling and comfortability.

Did you know that Yabu is the Philippines’ first and only authentic Katsu restaurant? The menu shows you all you need to know. So hard choosing what to eat, they have pork, chicken, seafood and everything looks yummy!

Done with our orders, while waiting I decided to visit the Comfort room.

And yes, the walls are filled with bloggers and famous people’s testimonials of how amazing Yabu’s Katsu really is!

Then, our meal was served.

This bowl of sesame seeds must be ground then pour the katsu sauce into it, where you’ll dip your katsu to enjoy more. We really felt the intimacy of our meal and the taste was just so divine, we never really enjoyed a meal this much.

I had the Premium Tonkatsu set. And every bite was just so divine, really. Itadakimasu!

Indeed lives up to, authentic and absolutely delicious. Nothing Less.

We were so satisfied and full!

Haha! Yes, my smile was this big :) Definitely the best katsu in town and we can’t wait to come back and try their best-selling Katsudon next time!

Yabu is indeed an example of what comes out of superb treatment and utmost respect to the practice of cooking katsu. And due to their emphasis on tradition, our meal really gave us a glimpse of how tasteful Japanese cuisine is.

Food tripping once again! We got this thing for Grill and Restaurants lately, because we think Filipino Cuisine is the best still! And what’s better than trying different tastes of food?

Well, I’ve seen this Lamesa Grill over the internet with really good reviews. Yes, most of the time we search for restaurants on where to eat before we go out. haha!

The place has a really good native feel which I personally liked. I actually felt at home.

They have so many food choices that we had a hard time thinking on what to order. :)

The service was really slow this day maybe because there are a lot of customers since this is also a favorite place for drinks.

Crackers for appetizers. Really tasty!

My boyfriend ordered some Tawilis which I know I haven’t tasted all my life, but it’s just like sardines. 

The pork barbecue is also a must try!

My pick is bistek bangus belly. Yummm.

Pork Sinigang was also really good.

Their Sizzling sisig is crunchy and tasteful.

And yes, we were so full after. We like to order this lot but we never eat all the food, so we always have lots of takeouts to bring home :)

The food at Lamesa Grill is really good and delicious. The price is a bit cheaper than other grill and restaurants in the area with the same menu. So we were satisfied.

We absolutely love food tripping whenever we go out. But most of the time, picking on where restaurant to eat is a big dilemma for us. This time, we tried to have our lunch at Jay J’s Inasal.

They have a wide range of food choices on the menu: from their best-selling Inasal, Chicken, Pork, Seafood, Beef, Veggies, Soup, Dessert and even Group Meals.

We decided to order Sinigang na Baboy for Php 220.00, Crispy Liempo for Php 275.00 and Beef Kare-Kare for Php 250.00. Their bottomless iced tea is for Php 75.00 and one cup of rice is Php 39.00.

Yes the prices are a bit high but with the service and the taste of the food, it was all worth it.

The serving was good for 2-3 persons.

The Beef Kare-Kare has this bright color but it was really tasty.

The restaurant has a good feel, less customers are here when we ate since it’s past lunch time already and maybe because the price are a bit high so most prefer to eat in fast food chains which are everywhere.

But we really enjoyed our meal and the service of the crew that day was commendable, thanks that there are a few customers to tend to when we ate. We’ll definitely be back and try their other specialties!

I think I just found My Hapiness! Say hello to Gelatissimo!

The moment you step in and see these colorful gelati, you can’t help but to drool. haha!

Look at all those flavors. They have a wide range of selection, from the yummy chocolates, fruits, etc. And guess what? This temptation is guilt free with being 100% fat free and premium dairy between 90-97% fat free.

The ambiance feels also very comfortable and the staff are kind, they will actually offer you a free taste of the flavors if ever you’re having a hard time choosing what to get. The free taste itself will satisfy you!

Our favorite, Hazelnut and Chocolate! Sundaes and Coffee is also available at Gelatissimo.

That really looks tempting! My very own favorite Choc Hazelnut. Gelatissimo has a branch in TriNoma, Greenbelt 5 and Serendra. Also in Cebu!

While at Cebu, we visited Ayala Center for lunch and after many considerations where to eat we chose Sunburst since it’s our first time to encounter this restaurant.

We ordered 3pcs Fried Chicken since the restaurant’s main feature is chicken. For only Php 160.00 you can save rather than buying 1pc. fried chicken for Php 90.00. And also Prawn Sinigang for Php 310.00, which is one of my boyfriend’s favorite ulam :)

There are a lot of food choices on their menu, too. From appetizers, soup, salad, on the grill and even Japanese specialties.

The service was a bit slow but the food made up for it. The chicken is tasteful, very crispy and juicy. A bit saltier than the fried chicken on fast food chains but more delicious, close to KFC’s!

The taste will just beg you for more!

The Sinigang was also good, nothing special though.

We enjoyed our meal and the taste of the fried chicken is really brand new for us and really good.

The atmosphere inside is also great, very calming. The restaurant might be a little crowded during lunch/dinner time because the food is really delicious and very affordable!

So next time you visit Cebu, please put this in your itinerary. Also, the Ayala Terraces has a good view!
