A Beautiful Day

image

How was your summer so far, lovelies? Have you already made the most out of it? Well, let me just share to you one of my Summer outfits to keep the vibe going.

Summer is definitely the most favorite season of the year in our country (minus the extreme heat, of course) and almost everyone is so excited to head on to the beach and just enjoy the sun.

Not to mention that this is also the season where you can wear the prettiest clothes, Spring/Summer collections of brands are always to watch out for. From pastel, florals, sheer, neons, and everything lovely!

Let me share to you my take on a summer-inspired outfit. It’s always so nice to wear a beautiful outfit on a very beautiful day!

image

image

My outfit screams happiness all over. I felt very light and carefree wearing this ensemble, mostly because the skirt and coverup is sheer. The extreme heat can be unbearable this summer so it’s really important to let your skin breathe but that doesn’t mean you’ll wear almost nothing. Never sacrifice your style, just choose the right fabric on the clothes you’ll wear so you’ll feel comfortable all throughout.

image

It’s also good to not only protect your skin but also your precious eyes so I added this pretty shades to complete my look.

image

image

I took these photos during my stay at Camayan Beach Resort in Subic and every inch of place on that resort is just picture-worthy. I was so glad to have spent and shared memories there this summer. You can read my review on the resort in case you missed it here. I definitely recommend it because you get more of the price you paid for! See their rates on my review.

image

image

What do you think of my accessories? Kept them very simple but still compliments my outfit.

image

image

One thing I love doing is mixing and matching patterns and colors, look at my floral on floral corset and kimono coverup. And say hello to my new favorite necklace from the Fashion Accessories Authority! I love wearing it because it can transform an outfit magically every time.

image

image

Thanks to my aunt for sending me these sandals from the US. I love how subtle the color is and its style gave more life to my outfit.

image

How about you? What places have you visited this summer and what are you wearing? I would love to hear from you or read your summer outfit and travel blog posts if ever, just leave a comment on my Disqus box below.

Happy Summer!

And thanks to my ever supportive boyfriend for taking my photos and accompanying me. :)

Hello, Camo!

One of the trends that you would be seeing everywhere this coming season is Camouflage. I personally love this pattern because it’s diverse and complicatedly beautiful. I’ve been seeing this pattern lately on runways, on the streets, magazines, etc. and I want to share a piece of mine to my readers through this outfit post.

So, how camo can you go?

image

image

I chose to wear this camo skirt because I find it very unique rather than jackets or jeans with the camouflage print which are everywhere now. I’ve been in love with thrift stores ever since and this is one of my best finds! What do you think?

This skirt is actually cotton (which makes it very comfortable) so I paired it with a denim top for added texture. I’m so in love with this chambray denim polo from Next jeans, love the color and the little details that made it very stylish!

image

image

Kept my accessories simple without all the colors I usually wear to not overrate my outfit because I think the skirt says it all.

image

image

image

Oh and did you notice the little spikes on the collar of my top? I love how they gave edginess to my outfit! I also think it matched my spikes necklace perfectly. Whoever shop sent me the necklace, message me so I can credit you.

image

image

image

Comfort is one of the key things I always consider when choosing what to wear and I think it defines my style, I don’t like risking things for the sake of Fashion. What matters the most is that I feel good and these Crocs flats always give me that.

image

Camouflage may be one of the in trends this season but that doesn’t mean you would force yourself to wear it, always stay true to your own style or else I don’t think it would work for you. Besides, Fashion is all about expressing yourself.

Like what one of my favorite designer and fashion inspiration, Gianni Versace once said, “Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way you live.”

Never let your clothes wear you, it’s the other way around. There are never limits in dressing up as long as it’s You.

image

So enjoy the new season and wear what you want! Always remember to feel good and you’ll definitely look good!

Cheers!

Be True To Yourself

I’m the type of girl who likes wearing clothes that pops or stands out in a crowd. Even though it’s a normal day out or I’ll just go to the mall, I always wear clothes that are very noticeable. I like colors. They make me happy. And it shows when I dress myself.

My wardrobe palette is full of life. Yes, I’ll choose a floral dress over a little black dress in a heartbeat.

But that doesn’t mean I can’t wear the opposite or completely different clothes to what people normally see me. Besides I think I have that different side of me just waiting to be unleashed.

image

Fashion is just like life. You’ll never know if a style suits you if you won’t try.

image

image

It’s not everyday that you see me in these kind of clothes, so I took the moment to share this outfit I wore to you to show that you can wear anything you want as long as you’re confident and true to yourself.

You might ask, what made me wear this outfit if it’s not totally me? Maybe because it’s a bit me. The ‘me’ that is not afraid of embracing change and taking risks.

image

I’m so glad that there’s no limit in Fashion. You can always mix and match and express yourself every time. Just make sure to dress appropriately when certain occasions require you to, but you can always add your touch of style.

image

image

I actually like how this outfit turned out, I can wear this on a day out anytime without worrying about comfort and without sacrificing my style. I also wore my lovely sunglasses from FLY Shades to complete my look, I love the details on its side!

image

One of my favorite part in this outfit is this cool top sent to me by Petrol. I was inspired to create a look the moment I received it, I know it would be completely different from what I used to wear.

image

image

And I think I still can’t hide that sweet part of me, that’s why I wore these accessories. I love that my Veloci watch comes in three different straps that I can easily change every time I change my outfit and this strap just matched my outfit so well. Check out my other outfit wearing a different strap on my Veloci watch here.

image

Trying new things makes you discover old ones. I think I’ve worn these boots once ever since I bought them around two years ago at Leaveland. So glad to get the chance to style them again.

image

You will see more of these kind of outfits from me in the coming days. I like sharing new things and showing to you that Fashion is so wide that its only limit is your imagination.

To my readers who always asks for advice and telling me, “I can’t wear skirts/shorts cause my legs are big”, “I can’t wear dresses, my friends will make fun of me because they always see me in jeans”, “I can’t pull off that kind of outfit…” and the like. You can. You just haven’t tried it yet and is afraid of doing so. There are types of clothes that works best on different body types, all you have to do is to know. Nothing comes easy, there are things that we need to study for ourselves. Style is limitless. And what you wear doesn’t depend on people around you but only you. Just always be true to yourself and be confident.

image

It’s never too late to try new things and discover your own style, so try because you’ll never know what might work for you.

DESTINY

Many have heard of once upon a time…

image

Starting when you woke up on a day so fine

Realizing it’s another beginning

That sure is a quest on the never ending

image

Many people you have met

Most made you cry, I bet

But only a few gave you that special feeling

Especially at times when you felt like dying

image

Believing at some facts

I know your heart cracks

That the person who can make you cry…

Is the person that makes you smile

image

Some say that Destiny is true

But no one has a single clue

Is there really someone destined for you?

Or should you find the one that loves you, too?

image

image

Destiny is written in your hand,

But how will you find your loved one?

Maybe you can wave a magic wand

To find the love of your life in this land

image

What if you believe in destiny,

Sitting inside your room in a day so gloomy

All you kept on doing is waiting

What if there’s no one coming?

image

I believe Destiny is not written in your hands

I guess it lies in one’s hands

Making right choices in your decisions

Are steps in fulfilling your mission

image

The one that will love you will truly come

At the right place, at the right time

Just wait and do something

Before it’s too late and you regret on things

image

Your Destiny lies in you,

It results on everything you do

Never quit and you will soon find

The one that you’ll forever love

image

And someday you’ll remember

Once upon a time you’ve met each other

Fought hard to be together forever

To live happily ever after…

On the Brighter Side

See details of this outfit post here

Sorry for not posting outfit posts much when I should. Been very busy with everything that’s happening in my life lately that I can’t take time to shoot what I’m wearing but I’ll definitely share mo rein the coming days. :)

I’m wearing floral on floral on this which I really love! This is just one of the days where you see me wearing print on print outfits. I’m in love with it and I think it suits my personality more. It’s just very lively and lovely and I hope you also think that I look good on it. haha!

People that see me most of the time say that the clothes I’m wearing are just very comfy. I think I just always want to feel carefree without having to worry about anything in my clothes. I always wanted to feel good and confident which every girl should.

And you don’t usually see me in flats but this day I wore my super comfortable flats from Crocs, it’s good to give your feet their deserve break once in a while.

On the Brighter Side

Rain. Many times in my life, I just felt like crying. It’s inevitable because sometimes it’s just the only escape and also a way to let all things out or else I’ll burst. Life is full of problems, you might see people smiling but you’ll never know what they are feeling inside. That’s why I also live by, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” But I can’t just go and tell people to do this if it’s not in their nature, I believe they’ll eventually learn it one way or another.

Storm. Way back from when I was young, I was called names a lot of times. I was bullied. That’s just life, it’s either you’re the bully or you’re bullied or else you don’t have a life. Yes, it hurt. It used to hurt. People will judge and judge you every time. That’s also one thing I learned in life, you can’t really please everybody. Do good and people will talk about you and how a show off you are, do bad and of course people will talk about how unpleasant of a person you are. I admit, that’s very hard to take in. There are days that I needed to hide everything with a smile even though you feel like breaking.

And right now that I’m not a kid anymore, criticisms took over. Especially in my world now where I share almost every interesting thing that’s happening in my life, making myself open to the public and to all eyes looking for anything that’s wrong in me. I know I can’t stop them, we can’t stop them. But you know what? We can always prove them wrong. At the end of the day, it’s always how we handle everything that comes in our life that will effect how things turn out for us.

Sun. And after everything, whenever I look at myself, what I’ve accomplished as early as now and most of all, who I am; I feel proud. My life may not be perfect but I am genuinely happy with everything in it. What you won’t let kill you, will definitely make you stronger. People will always be people. There’s always those that will bring you down, but remember that they won’t bring you down if you’re not above them. And it’s where you focus your attention that matters. You will always feel hurt, life will bring you that every time. But not for nothing. You’ll either realize what you did wrong or see what you have to improve, but either way you’ll be better.

That’s why thank everyone who wronged you, and I’m not kidding. They made you cry? Thank them. They fooled you? Thank them. They hurt you? Thank them. Because if it’s not for them, you won’t be as strong as you are right now..

Rainbow. And you won’t realize who will always be there for you. The best thing you gain from all of these circumstances? True friends. Friends that will stick by your side along with your family. Friends that will at the end of the day accompany you to laugh everything out. You may not be able to please everybody but having them and you won’t even have to think about pleasing. Do good and they will cheer you more. Do bad and they will help you do better. And you’ll realize they are all you need.

Everyday we take in a lot of pain, because the world we live in is full of sufferings. We can’t just expect life to be a piece of cake. Everybody will experience problems. The only thing that differs from all of us is how we handle it. Me? I just chose to always look at the brighter side of things, I know I’ll always learn from everything anyway. Now I’m proud to say that I smile not to hide the hurt but to forget about it, because I know that there are more important things. Problems end. They always do. Just always make sure that you learn from it. Take in everything, understand, then let it all out if you need to.

There’s a Rainbow always after the Rain.

You may visit my blog because you are interested on my posts or you may visit just to find something wrong that you can use to bring me down. But for whatever reason, Thank you! If not for all of you, my blog won’t continue serving its purpose. Inspiring people who wants to be inspired.

The Choices You Make…

..And The Places They Take You

I just want to unleash the writer in me on this post. I really missed writing so I decided to combine it with an outfit post.

Coming back to my title.. They say, “Life is about the choices you make.” And I do agree. I think I won’t be where I am today if I didn’t took the choices and risks that lead me here.

Life is full of choices from our everyday lives. It’s like choosing what of the two paths to take, the left or the right, and the outcome will be two completely different circumstances.

Good thing is unlike on other things, you can start again in life if ever you made a mistake on the road you chose. It will all boil down to time, because if you kept on making mistakes a lot of time will be wasted so choose wisely every time you need to. Always follow your heart, I’m a living proof that it works. Just remember that life is never easy and people are where they are today because they worked hard for it. If you know what you want, then you already have a heads up. What you need to do next is just do everything you can to achieve it.

If you chose the right one, you’ll be happy. If you didn’t, you’ll learn. So, we never really lose in life. We always learn. And sometimes while you make choices, you actually realize what you really wanted along the way.

In my life, I’ve faced a lot of questions that needed the right answers. The life I have now is not actually the life I wanted before but because of the risks I took, everything brought me here and I realized that this is what I want because this is what makes me happy more than anything else and what makes people around me happy, too. And one of the best things in the world is knowing that you are not the only one who is happy because of what you do, but also the people who loves you and I take great pride in that.

So if you already know what you want and you want it so bad, start now. It’s a long process but it’s all worth it. And if you are already on your way, don’t stop. Stop only if you feel that it’s not the right thing for you and when you did, never be afraid to start all over again. Just don’t ever ever and ever give up. You wouldn’t know what you’ll be missing and what might have been if you did.

The best thing about all of these choices you have to make, are the amazing places life will take you. What more? The awesome people you’ll meet along the way.

Never be afraid in deciding what you want in your life. You can always try and try and before you knew it, you are already exactly where you wanted to be.

On my outfit, I loved how mixing all these pieces together turned out. It’s just so me. Very fun and my accessories completed the look. Check out the aztec ring I wore from Soul Flower, it’s very unique and it’s handmade! Kept my shoes and bag simple to balance the look. Wore my ever comfortable Crocs wedges since I attended the Crocs Philippines’ website launch which you can read again here. One thing I also love about this outfit is my nude colored clutch from Hued Bags. I swear they have the best collection of pretty clutches at very affordable prices!

Bronze Afternoons

‘Cause the sky was bronze and so is my outfit..

I’m actually channeling a bit of the fall fashion in this outfit (I don’t know if you felt it) but with my own personal touch. It’s now the season of Fall but in my country, I can’t really wear the complete fall look like turtleneck sweaters, tailored jackets, tall leather boots, etc. so I just opted for one (tailored jacket) and hoped it will give me the fall vibe.

I wore this outfit when we craved steak for super late lunch at home. So we headed to Greenbelt just to dine at Dillingers. I love how the place always reminds me that I’m out of the country and I like how it also somehow matched what I’m wearing, don’t you think?

Here are detailed shots of my outfit,

Made my hand accessories cohesive. Love how they accented what I wanted to achieve in this outfit.

And of course, I just can’t stop myself for bringing in who I really am in my outfits so I wore a blue aztec necklace just to add some color on my very bronze look. Always see to it that you put your own self and style in every outfit. Don’t wear clothes just because they are the latest trends but wear them because you want to. Or else you won’t feel confident in them and might not look good because confidence is always the key, right?

Striped top from Genevieve Gozum | Jeans from Lee Jacket from Fornari | Accessories from Girl Shoppe | Necklace from Soul Flower

Do you like the necklace? It’s actually handmade. Very cute, right? Will feature the amazing shop that sells it soon so watch out!

What do you think of this outfit? Will share more interesting posts with you soon so always check out my blog. Hope you all have a wonderful night!

Finding Yourself

I love to smile and be happy. People say I look pretty when I smile (no this is not an excuse cause I can’t make a good serious face on pictures) so I always do.

Lately, I’ve been in love with anything colorful. I think you’ve noticed, too. Which is so not me before. Back in my high school days, black and dark colors are my best friends. And no, I don’t consider myself a fashionista back then. I can live with my jeans and a shirt. Every day.

I can’t actually remember what made me love fashion and what made me a fashion blogger which I think why life is a continuous and never-ending process. That’s why I always say never ever be afraid to try something new because you might discover something new about yourself, too. What more is that something new is what you really are and what you’re meant to be.

And if ever you are already in the process, end it. You’ll never know what will happen in the end if you’ll keep on quitting and life won’t be good if you never actually reached something, don’t you think? Just always remember that there’s no easy way to something great so be patient, I can assure you it will all be worth it.

Just something to inspire you for tonight :)

To my outfit post, this is what I wore at the Naturalizer event which I’ll be blogging about soon. I know I should be wearing Fall type of clothing because it’s the season now and the events I’m attending mostly showcases their Fall/Winter line but please let me wear something this colorful and summery when I see the sun. He’s not always there anyway. And colors makes us look younger!

Paired this lovely dress with a nude-colored cardigan just to not exaggerate my outfit and I love the chains on it! I also adore this colorful necklace, it gave more life to my already lively outfit! What did you notice? Yes, I didn’t excessorize, I’m improving or maybe I’m also discovering a new thing about myself that I actually like it simple.

Matched with my blue wedges, just the right outfit I need to express how happy I am lately. Hope you felt it, too.

Dress from Sugarlips Cardigan from Topshelf Apparel Manila Necklace from Verzelle Couture | Rings from Girl Shoppe

I think I have made a short blog post about this dress before. It’s just so pretty and unique. Very eye-catching that 90% of the people that saw me this day really stared at it. It’s like girls want to have it and boys wants to be with a girl wearing it! Haha!

Will also feature these shops on my blog soon to get to know more about their amazing products but as of now I know you are already impressed, right?

Hope you liked this post. Have a good night!

I’m not a Shopaholic

You might think that my title is too defensive (haha!), but Shopaholic? I really don’t consider myself one and I don’t think you are, too. Hmm.. So what does Shopaholic means? Shopaholic is a slang term for compulsive shopping and also a term used to describe individuals who consider themselves as addicted to shopping. I believe I don’t have Compulsive Buying Disorder since I can control what I buy and I’m not addicted to shopping, I just love shopping! So there.

Oh nowadays, it’s always better to save and buy what you need and not what you want. Do you agree?

Well, moving on.. This is just an outfit post by the way. hahaha! :)

Why the title? Because this is what I wore to the Robinsons Red Hot Sale Bloggers Event. Have you seen my personal picks from Robinsons Galleria here?

Oh, I’m such a fan of sales! I mean, who doesn’t? You can shop for items that are half their normal price and this time even up to 70% Off! Sales are really something to look forward to. Sometimes when I want to buy pretty clothes and I know my wallet would be so depressed after, I just wait a few more weeks until they go on sale and tadaaaa I can buy them all with money left for savings!

I think we should all be responsible for what we buy and where we put our money into. We should invest on what will be more important in the future. Naks! But really!

DIY Sheer Skirt | Blazer from Bazaar | Belt from Genevieve Gozum | Necklace from Bon Ton Boutique | Blue and Green Bracelet from SM Accessories Clutch from THEFACESHOP

I hope this simple post inspired you to be more responsible. hihi :) By the way, this is a guilt-free shopping. Thanks to GC’s from Robinsons Malls!

You can still catch up on the Robinsons Red Hot Sale until August 31, shop and save up to 70% off on different brands!

And this is my good friend, Pau of Misspauuparazzi. Another tip that I learned from her that you too can use to save is to sell your pre-loved clothes so that you can use your earnings to shop new ones without having to spend from your allowance. Good idea, right? I might try it soon!

Hope you liked my post, lovelies!

Make the best out of the Few Moments

This time of the year when it rains almost every now and then, it is so difficult to get a good outfit shot. Also it’s hard for me to bring my SLR everywhere I go since it’s big and heavy, taking almost all the space in my bag and it’s also a big liability that I need to protect it when the rain’s hard. So most of the time, I take my outfit shots outside the house before leaving.

So sorry for the quality of these photos since these were all taken from my phone, wanted to dress up that day opposite the weather so tadaaa. Didn’t know the sun will show up for a while so I decided to capture some shots so I can share some to you guys :) And thus, the title.

I have also been thinking a lot of things lately, I want to accomplish a lot of things but I don’t know what to do. So Ironic, I know. Aaaah, I blame the weather for all of this!

I also want to enroll myself in a Fashion school and pursue more my other love, Fashion. Anyway, these photos are taken at UP Diliman and you’ll see me most of the time in this place so don’t hesitate to say ‘Hi!’ I also want to have an internship in a fashion magazine or the like so I can have more experience in this field as early as now, and if the weather will permit and won’t make me feel gloomy again. I might this week!

But don’t get me wrong, I’m so thankful for everything I have right now. The blessings have been unexpectedly overwhelming but I don’t know I think I just want, as my title also says, to make the best out of the few moments.

Oh nika, just take it slow! You are still young! haha. Please help me to tell this to myself. Will tell you how this dilemmas of my life goes :)

Anywayyyy, what do you think of my outfit? I know it doesn’t suit the weather but who cares? I like it and it makes me feel bright and happy! Love how this floral vest and the scarf print mullet skirt somehow complimented each other and the shoes completed the outfit perfectly! I have one more of this vest for sale on my facebook page along with other trendy items and thanks again to KoreanClothingFashion for sending me this lovely skirt, read my review here

Fashion is about expressing your self and this is exactly how I want to show myself :) It just brings more good vibes during the dull weather.

Missing the Sun

I’m back and this outfit post is for all of you who’s also missing the sun like me. It’s been pretty rainy these past few days (making it impossible to take good outfit shots) so whenever I see the sun out, I immediately head out the house to take outfit shots of my clothes for the following days. Talk about efficiency. haha!

And since I want all of us to remember the sun and summer, I played with very fun colors for my outfit.

What I also don’t like about these rainy days is that I don’t get to go out much which is a bummer especially if there are events I need to go to for the day, I’d rather stay home and be safe than going outside with the heavy rain pouring.

Did you notice that I kept my accessories simple? I didn’t excess-orize in this outfit which is so not me! :) I did because I wanted to feel light, and I think my statement necklace did all the job for this outfit. Thanks to the ProSolutions Family again for this amazing birthday gift!

And the best way to feel summer? Wear comfortable flats! These stylish orange flats from Pepita just screams SUNNNN all over.

I still love summer more than the rainy seasons even if it can be scorching hot outside, at least I don’t feel gloomy at home doing nothing. This coming August will also be a busy month for me with lots of activities and collaborations, I hope I’ll do just fine.

And I just want to share to you my thoughts from the other day, I think I actually want a real job. haha! I’m decided that I wanted to work on the fashion industry, be a writer on a magazine, fashion stylist/assistant or whatever. I’ll keep you updated on this goal of mine. But for those interested to hire me, just email me anytime. hahaha!

Finally, I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported my booth during the Bargain Hunt Bazaar, for all those who dropped by and shopped. It was an amazing experience, tiring but fun, and I want to do more of that kind of activities soon. For all those asking, I’m planning to sell the clothes I’m selling during the bazaar on my facebook page so like it here so you can get first dibs on the stylish clothes personally picked by me and Follow me on Twitter for updates. I’ll also be verifying entries on my Forever21 dress giveaway tomorrow and will be announcing the lucky winner by then.

Hope you continue supporting my blog and watch out for my upcoming collaborations. Good night!

Cutesy Bows

Let me just share to you quickly one of my outfit posts during the past days. I’ve been wearing a lot of jeans lately since the weather is really very tricky, I don’t want to be running around uncomfortably.

And don’t worry, I brought a coverup with me for emergency purposes. haha!

So sorry again for the poor lighting since it’s actually past 6pm already when we took this outfit shots just so I can show you more accessories that I’ll be selling during the Bargain Hunt Bazaar. :)

Lots of cute bow accessories will be for sale and many many more. Yay!

See you there? :)

'For me, Fashion is not just what the latest trends are nor what are the new collections of designers; it's not just what celebrities wear nor what you see girls are wearing on pictures on the web; it's not just what you see and read on fashion magazines nor what you watch in the runway. FASHION IS SIMPLY YOU, your very own sense of style. FASHION IS WHAT'S IN YOUR HEARTS. So, be yourself, wear what you want, be proud and MAKE THE STREETS YOUR RUNWAY.' -YFI ♥
