Since I was young one thing that’s very important for me is my hair. I feel beautiful when my hair is perfect. A bad hair day can ruin everything for me. I think some girls can relate because as they say, “A woman’s hair is her crowning glory.” That’s why deciding on what products to use on my hair is a big deal to me and reading tips on what and what no to do with it is a must!

But of course, like most girls, I’ve done treatments to my hair to make it better and with this, I make sure to rely on trusted ones since I don’t want to regret anything. Hair once damaged can take a long time to get back or worse, may not.

Last year I decided to have my hair digitally permed just to give it a new do because my hair was always straight ever since I can remember. I chose Azta Urban Salon for that after many days of deliberations and reading a lot of reviews online. Yes, my hair is that important. :) My hair turned out really nice after and suited me well. More than a year passed, the curls just came out more natural. People always ask me if my hair is naturally wavy because it looks like it is and some even tell me that it’s my best asset.

And guess what? Earlier this year, I got an email from Azta to try out their services. I was glad they did because I’ve already tried and tested them and they did not fail me. I don’t usually go to Salons for treatments, just for haircuts because I think it’s better just to let my hair as it is, not too much chemicals because it’s still good and healthy. So, the moment they emailed me I have yet to decide.

Finally, after months I booked a schedule with them. I think I deserve a new look after all. I visited their Katipunan branch which has a very convenient location. The salon was spacious and has a feel-good vibe, not too noisy and the interiors are nice. I’ll share to you photos from Azta Katipunan branch below this post.

I was immediately taken care of the moment I arrived, they asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. I really want to have my hair dyed RED. hahaha! But I think I can’t handle that yet (my hair’s black ever since) so I just asked for a one-toned ombre hair. Yes, I’m keeping the black and adding some red.

There’s a main stylist that will supervise on you to make sure everything is right and an assistant to help out. I was also offered drinks during my treatment, very accommodating staff!

I guess the service just lasted around 2.5 hours, longer if you’ll get a two-toned ombre hair which can take up to 4 hours but the wait is all worth it!

1)    Why did you want to create a fragrance?

I love how fragrance can shape a memory…the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts.  I had so much fun working with Elizabeth Arden to combine my favorite scents and create my own unique fragrance.  As an artist, I share personal life experiences through my music, and my fragrance will allow me to share these experiences with my fans in a completely different and new way!

2)   Why did you name the fragrance Wonderstruck and what was your inspiration?

The name Wonderstruck comes from the song “Enchanted” on my Speak Now album. 

I love the moment when you first meet someone and feel an instant connection.  The initial rush is indescribable;   it’s that magical feeling of promise and hope and intrigue and I wanted to capture that feeling. Wonderstruck is the awe-inspiring feeling that I want my fans to experience when they wear my fragrance.

3)   You are known for writing songs about love; how does Wonderstruck tie into that theme?

Falling in love is the moment every girl dreams of and this fragrance represents that magical feeling when someone takes your breath away.

4)   Do you have any specific memories tied to the notes in the fragrance?

White hibiscus is a note in the fragrance and one of my favorite flowers; it reminds me of tropical destinations and when I smell that note, it transports me to beautiful beaches.

5)   What do you like most about the bottle and packaging?

o   My favorite color is purple and I love things that sparkle so I made sure to incorporate those elements into the Wonderstruck bottle.  The iridescent, rainbow finish gives the bottle a magical glow, it’s so cool!

o   The antiqued gold charms on the bottle hold special meaning to me. The birdcage, dove and Moravian star are all decorative elements that represent my personal style.  

o   My fans and I love hidden messages.  If you look closely at the intricate detail on the cap, you’ll see some of my favorite things like the number 13!

o   I love the carton because it reminds me of the eclectic fabrics I collect on my travels.

Everything about this perfume is just so magical, and wait until you actually smell it. I feel like a princess! Now we can all share more from Taylor Swift rather than her amazing songs, but her fragrance as well. :)

I received this package weeks ago and I was glad I did! Say hello to my yummy buddies! My yummy lip balms :)

For most of us girls, lip balms have become necessities. Like me for instance, my friends always notices that my lips dries up so easily so lip balms are must haves for me and I’m getting bored already with the flavors of the lip balms I’m using (and the wax-like taste I always get) so I was so glad to have received these!

These lip balms are unlike others mainly because they are naturally made, I just love when products came from natural ingredients. Major points for you!

You might think I’m fooling you when I say that these are the best lip balms I have tried so far. Well, I’m not! :) I have forced myself not to eat them whenever I use them. They are just so YUMMY! For only Php 65.00 ($1.55), you get more of what you pay for. I’d definitely be buying when I ran out.

And I have told you that they actually work great! My lips were moisturized well for a good amount of time.

I know for most ladies, lip products are a must-have. Lipsticks, lip gloss, lip tints, lip balms and the list goes on. As for me, I’m not that much of a lippy person. I just bite my lips most of the time then go since it just wears out anyway! haha :)

But I want to share to you my two lip products from TheFaceShop on my kit.

These two products are really nice, works with their own magic!

Let’s start with the Diamond Shine Lip Gloss.

I know we all need a gloss in our life. haha! What more is for it to have glitters. Perfect not only for giving a fresh color to the lips but also providing that extra shine. This product has an easy to apply brush and fragrance-free, only thing I don’t like is that I feel heavy on the lips whenever I use it maybe because I’m not really a lipstick person told ya. ;) But it really makes my lips pretty and shiny!

So for those who likes flavor on their lippies, this is not the product for you.

Who loves pampering your nails? How about nail arts?

Nowadays, nails have been important in dressing up. Like most of the time, I want my nail to look good also when going out or when attending an event. Even better if my nails matched my outfit!

This is good news since I really suck at using the conventional nail polish, it’s messy and I know you can all relate. With nail patches, everything is made easier and more fun! It’s easy, quick, diy and long lasting!

I’m just so excited to try them and tell you more about it since I’ve been hearing a lot of good reviews about this product lately :)

I really like this multi-stripe nail patch. One package is consisting of 2 set of 8patches, a total of 16 patches and a tape to seal the remaining patches in original plastic package for next use.

Jessie even sent me a plain black color one.

I’ll be trying them tomorrow and I’ll make a review so watch out!
